Personal de PCyB se capacita para ser multifuncional
Para la transformación de los servicios a la población.
Es prioridad del gobierno del Profe Michel, el contar con una institución fortalecida y bien preparada para prestar apoyo a los vallartenses.
El gobierno municipal de Luis Alberto Michel Rodríguez tiene el objetivo de seguir trabajando en la transformación de los servicios de atención y prevención a la población, para ello, comenzó con la capacitación constante a las diferentes áreas que conforman la Dirección de Protección Civil y Bomberos.
El objetivo es que el personal de todas las áreas se mantenga en preparación permanente para ser multifuncional y que todos puedan atender cualquier emergencia o servicio que requiera la población, explicó Nelson Francisco Juárez Ramírez, Supervisor de turno “C” de las tres bases de Protección Civil y Bomberos en el municipio.
Indicó que esta capacitación va desde primeros auxilios hasta la atención prehospitalaria y el combate a incendios. Al mismo tiempo se inició con acondicionamiento físico para el personal y generar condiciones óptimas para la atención de cualquier emergencia.
Explicó que en la jornada de este miércoles se brindó instrucción sobre el uso del equipo de autocontenidos de aire, denominados ERA (Equipos de Respiración Autónoma) para conocer sus funciones, desde el tanque, arnés, mangueras de alta y baja presión, la válvula de demanda, manómetros, máscara, aditamentos que generalmente se utilizan para las vías respiratorias en caso de incendios; además se instruyó cómo actuar en caso de que se empañe la máscara mientras se encuentran en una emergencia, sobre las válvulas de pánico y de bombeo caído.
Otro tema que se impartió fue la ‘Evaluación Inicial del Paciente’, que se aplica cuando el personal de PCyB acuden a brindar auxilio a personas lesionadas, pudieron obtener información acerca de los protocolos a seguir como: valoración de la escena, el entorno, las personas, los síntomas del paciente, su respiración, entre otras, para poder actuar en consecuencia.
Para el Presidente municipal es prioritario que los vallartenses y visitantes cuenten con una Dirección de Protección Civil y Bomberos fortalecida y siempre lista para prestar su apoyo.

He indicated that this training ranges from first aid to pre-hospital care and fire fighting. At the same time, it began with physical conditioning for the staff and generating optimal conditions for the care of any emergency.
He explained that on Wednesday’s session, instruction was given on the use of air self-contained equipment, called ERA (Autonomous Breathing Equipment) to know it’s functions, from the tank, harness, high and low pressure hoses, the valve of demand, pressure gauges, mask, accessories that are generally used for the respiratory tract in case of fires; in addition, they were instructed on how to act in case the mask is fogged while they are in an emergency, on the panic and pump-down valves.
Another topic that was taught was the ‘Initial Patient Assessment’, which is applied when PCyB staff come to provide assistance to injured people, they were able to obtain information about the protocols to follow such as: assessment of the scene, the environment, the people, the patient’s symptoms, their breathing, among others, in order to act accordingly.
For the Municipal President, it is a priority that Vallartans and visitors have a strengthened Civil Protection and Firefighters Directorate and always ready to give their support.
